Fall Family Festival

BCCAnderson loves to gather as a family – sometimes just to hang out! Around the fall/autumn of every year, we get together for our Fall Family Festival – AND WE’D LOVE TO SEE YOU THERE! Be sure to bring a lawn chair and any weather-related coverings (jacket, blanket, etc.) so you and your crew can best enjoy the evening.

Among the many different activities of the festival, some of the highlights are (click the activity for more details):

Chili Cookoff
Ladies and gentlemen of all ages submit chilis of their own special chili recipes to be shared by all (and some to be judged by a special panel).

All chilis will need to be accompanied by a simple ingredient list – whether or not they are in the cookoff. A sample ingredients list can be found HERE.

The previous year’s 1st place chili is not eligible for entry (to allow others the honor of winning).
Chilis that are to be judged must be delivered no later than 4:30p the evening of the event.

If bringing a pot of chili is not your thing, but you'd like to help out in another way, consider bringing a plate/bag/box of the following to fill out around the chilis:

    Live Music
This year, we are excited to host the Rock Bottom Boys of Madison County! They are a crowd favorite and have performed at the Fall Family Festival nearly every year. Their excellent bluegrass energy will get your toes tapping and put a smile on your face.

    Food Drive
BCCAnderson is so pleased to partner with Operation Love to help fight hunger in our hometown of Anderson. To that end, we ask that – if you can – to bring either
    ☐ Boxed Instant Potatoes
☐ Canned Gravy (glass or metal)
    ☐ Boxed Stuffing

    Firepits & Dessert
On a cool evening, there’s not much better than sitting around a crackling fire with friends. But if the weather’s warm, we’ve got you covered there, too! We’ll have some vanilla ice cream to go with the cookies that your family can bring (see the food sign-up above). Feel free to bring your own dairy-free dessert, if needed.

    Inflatables
Sometimes the kiddos need to run off some steam. We get it! So we provide a couple of inflatables (one specifically for younger kids) where kids can run and jump and have a blast. Each child will need their adult to supervise them, and there are limits as to how many can jump/play at one time, but these are always a big hit.

    Other Family Activities
Depending on the weather and availability, we’ve also had other family activities at the Fall Family Festival. This year we hope to have a hay ride and various yard games.
