Mahoning Valley Christian Service Camp has approximately 20-25 mow-able acres (so as many as we can have join the team, the better).
Zero turn or “lawn tractors” of any width are acceptable, although anything wider than 72” will not be able to make it to the backside of the camp over the bridge. Zero turn mowers are more desirable because they are easier to maneuver in some areas. The camp owns 3-60”zero turn country clipper mowers that are controlled with a single joystick. These can be used if the operator is familiar with those controls and are comfortable enough using that type of machine. You are still invited to bring your own equipment.
Lunch and water are typically not provided on most mowing dates unless a special event is happening at camp, so bringing own lunch/water is recommended. Bathrooms will be available and open at the camp dining hall.
All mowers need to be set to a mowing depth of 3” and coordinate with each other to ensure mowers in the same area will be cutting at approximately the same height.
